จุดเริ่มต้นเกิดขึ้นจากแนวคิดของ คุณวาสนา วิลามาศ (เคท) ในปี ค.ศ.2011 หรือ พ.ศ.2554 ด้วยที่ดินขนาด 3 ไร่ และ ควายหนึ่งตัว "แตงโม"  โครงการ VR ได้ถูกก่อตั้งเมื่อคุณเคทได้เสนอแนวคิดนี้ให้แก่สามีของเธอ มิสเตอร์ โทมัส ลูเชอร์ ความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างสองประเทศ(ไทยและสวิสเซอร์แลนด์)และเทคนิคต่างๆที่ทันสมัยได้ถูกนำมาใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันและใช้ในการพัฒนาไร่และสวนวิลามาศ จากจุดเริ่มต้นในหลักการของความพอเพียงในการทำเกษตรชีวภาพ ถ้าเรามีแหล่งอาหารที่ดี เราก็มีสิ่งที่สำคัญที่ดีที่สุดในชีวิต

The start-up idea originated with Wassana Vilamas (Kate) and began in 2011 on a 3-rai plot of land with one buffalo named Thaeng-mo (Watermelon). After presenting the Vilamas Ranch project to her partner, Thomas Lüscher, plans were made to expand the concept. International connections were established, and modern techniques were introduced into daily farming activities, accelerating the development of the combined ranch and farm. From the beginning, the main goal was to achieve self- sufficiency through proven biological farming principles. As they say, "if you have good food, you’ve secured the most important foundation for a good life."

Today, the farm has grown to 32 rai, and the entire operation is powered by solar energy. We are completely off-grid, with a water system sustained by nature. Vilamas Ranch is now becoming a destination for farm events, where tradition and nature come together. It’s the natural choice for your next event.

Thaeng Moo was so far the first inhabitant of the "will-be" Vilamas Ranch. Originally "Vilamas Ranch" was just a small family business where Kate's sister Teaw and her husbund Joe carried on simple farming activitiesmainly growing Thai chili, rice and herbs to be sold at the local market.
